Probably only a couple days of Death Valley before returning to the cooler temperatures of Alaska. There are a few “hiking” trails through some rocky cliffs and outcroppings. I only did one and didn’t last too long. By that point in the day I was running low on bottled water and the sun was setting soon (didn’t want to be caught out in a narrow rocky pass with only my phone to light the way). Also there’s the salt flats which are at the lowest point in the United States, approximately 330 feet below sea level. May need to enlarge the image or zoom in to see it, but up on the cliff side is the sign indicating sea level. Shot on iPhone X in the Mojave Desert in California.
